Wales takes on Turkey at home in the Cardiff City Stadium to start their UEFA Nations League campaign.

In the opening game of their Nations League campaign, Wales takes on Turkey at Cardiff City Stadium on Friday night as they attempt to get off to the ideal start under Craig Bellamy.

Bellamy was appointed manager in July after the Welsh FA sacked Rob Page, and he leads Wales in the Nations League as a precursor to the qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup,

The matches against Turkey and Montenegro provide Bellamy with his initial opportunity to observe his revamped team in action, with his debut match set to be against a Turkey squad that advanced to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

Turkey possesses significant talent within their squad, featuring players such as Arda Guler from Real Madrid and Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Inter Milan, presenting a formidable challenge to a Wales team that, despite its experienced roster, has yet to find cohesion.

Bellamy is eager to leave his imprint on a squad that is likely still reeling from the disappointment of not qualifying for Euro 2024, creating a palpable sense of anticipation for the upcoming Nations League match against Turkey.

Vincenzo Montella's team comes to the capital following a remarkable Euro 2024 campaign, during which they garnered significant acclaim en route to the quarter-finals.

The two teams previously faced each other here in November, resulting in a 1-1 draw; however, the context surrounding this match appears significantly altered.
